We are working to earn IACET accreditation to be able to deliver our trainings with CEU (Continuing Education Units). Depending on your level of participation, you will probably qualify for 1 CEU if you complete 10-12 hours of independent work that is documented, and 3 CEUs if you complete 30 to 36 hours of independent work. Evaluations are in addition to the time that you spend.
IACET looks for RIGOR and RELAVANCE. We add the component of RELATIONSHIPS (see Littky's book, Education is Everybody's Business, pages 126-130). We build solid connections to our participants (teachers who participate in our workshops/online free courses). Your work is what makes the course PERSONAL and with your permission we will ask to show your work to future students. The portfolios that you create will be the method of communicating to the world HOW you EARNED those continuing education credits.
